A Session Under The Airplanes - Charlotte NC Engagement Airport Photographer

Anya & Eli had booked us for their wedding & the package they chose came with an engagement session. Now, we are all artsy farsty people so we pitched the idea of doing something super fun, crazy and unique - a session at the airport. They told us that when they were in a long distance relationship, their easiest meet up spot was the airport overlook. This location wasn't just a cool spot anymore, but something so meaningful and cherished to them and a huge part of their story.
Our couple leapt for the idea with open hearts & eyes closed, trusting us 100% (which meant the WORLD I tell you) We started with choosing outfits, I figured some worn out jeans and tees made the most sense for a picnic under the planes. Fast forwards to the day of the session, and they even toppped it off with matching Adidas sneakers. I mean COME ON, how cute. I would tell them how to pose, and use my loving husband and sidekick, Brad, to show them the example on how to mirror us. We posed them, but we also played games to bring out their best smiles & quirky relationship traits. I was SO fun. Sometime's we'd pick a pose and then wait and wait for a plane to flyover, so we'd just sit in conversation until one was close, then we would all scatter like a bunch of ants and get ready for the perfect shot. I think out of the entire session, my favorite part was when a Spirit airlines plane flew over and we all kind of shrugged and were like "oh yeah let's just wait for a different one". If you know, you know. haha!
When we delivered their engagement album in just a few days, they about lost it. The photos wre so coloful and dreamy and just showed their intense love for each other in every single image. We posted them to our socials and I felt like the most specialist girl in all of the lands, because everyone hyped them up so much. Anya kept tagging Adidas because what an ad that would be if they picked up these images!
Over all, start to finish, the whole thing was amazing. I love getting unique, making art & having fun but all while giving our clients the best experience and memories that are unique to them, to last a lifetime.
